Three of alternative rock’s most successful and acclaimed acts will be taking the stage at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. The show is part of Weezer’s The Gathering tour, where Weezer will play a huge amount of fan favorites, including many of the biggest hits such as “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” “Island in the Sun,” and “Beverly Hills,” off of the iconic “The Green Album (The Blue Album)” and “Green Album,” as well as many other songs from their huge discography, including the 2021 release “Van Weezer” and the 2022 project “SZNZ” (Seasons) which is being released out over the course of a year.
Weezer will be playing all of their iconic power-pop hits such as “Buddy Holly”, “Say It Ain’t So”, “Island in the Sun” and more off of their 2021 album “Van Weezer” and their 2022 “SZNZ” series. Rivers Cuomo and the rest of Weezer are known for being true innovators in the alternative rock scene since the 1990’s and bring the best of their discography to fans everywhere. With albums such as “The Blue Album” and “The Green Album” hitting the top of the charts Weezer is sure to bring a crowd-pleasing set to the Spectrum Center that will take fans on a trip down memory lane and feature a multitude of songs from Weezer’s large discography.
The Shins lead singer James Mercer is known for his songwriting genius that encompasses melodic pop songs with clever and intricate structure. Some of their songs that they have performed throughout their setlist include “New Slang”, “Caring Is Creepy”, and “Simple Song”. The indie rock group is known for providing its fans with a thoughtful and engaging live performance. Their music is filled with thoughtful lyrics that are accompanied by catchy and upbeat melodies. The group’s 2017 album “Heartworms” showcased Mercer’s songwriting in a new and different way.
Silversun Pickups are a critically-acclaimed alternative rock band known for their unique blend of heavy guitar-driven riffs and catchy, uplifting hooks. The band’s sound has been compared to a fusion of the shoegaze genre and hard rock, creating a truly one-of-a-kind sound. The band is comprised of singer and guitarist Brian Aubert, bassist Nikki Monninger, and drummer Chris Guzniec. The Spectrum Center is a venue located right in the middle of the uptown area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The venue features one of the greatest sounding rooms in the country and a very large space on the floor with a high end seating area which holds approximately 19,000 seats.
