Legendary rock band Rush were the innovators of progressive rock music. The band were among the first to experiment on complex riffs, odd time signatures, and more after their bit with blues rock. Rush has achieved incredible commercial success. In 1974, they released their self-titled debut album and charted within Canada and the U.S. In 1980, Rush found their globa breakthrough with their seventh album Permanent Waves. The following year, Rush released what would be their best and most beloved album ever, Moving Pictures, which went to number 1 in Canada. In the U.S., the record earned five times platinum status making it their best selling album to date.
