The Mountain Tour

Iconic, virtual band Gorillaz: will swing through Charlotte on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 for Gorillaz: The Mountain Tour at Spectrum Center. Featuring the band’s iconic animated characters coming to life on a massive stage and elaborate visuals, the concert promises to be a completely unique and memorable experience for Alternative Hip-Hop fans. Opening sets will be performed by critically-acclaimed British rapper and songwriter Little Simz and Alternative Hip-Hop supergroup Deltron 3030. The Mountain Tour is set to kick off in early September and continue on to several cities across the country.

Gorillaz

UK virtual band Gorillaz perform hit songs such as “Clint Eastwood,” “Feel Good Inc .,” “Dare,” and “On Melancholy Hill,” in addition to songs off of their 2025 release, The Mountain.

Gorillaz’, the virtual quartet comprised of bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Noodle, and drummer Russel Hobbs, have previously won a Grammy Award for their 2002 hit “Feel Good Inc .,” for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. The song also was nominated for Record of the Year. Plus multiple Grammy and Brit Award nominations and debuted in over 25 countries with sales of over 7 million copies worldwide. The band has released 9 full-length studio albums to date and have incorporated a multitude of electronic music aspects into their sound, while maintaining a stance against mass media idolisation.

Little Simz

North London rapper and singer Little Simz most engaging material including ‘Introvert’, ‘Woman’, ‘Point and Kill’ and ‘Gorilla’ alongside newer material following the release of her album ‘No Thank You’.

She was awarded the 2022 Mercury Prize for ‘often I Might Be Introvert’, the 2022 Brit Award for Best New Artist and has been awarded the 2024 Libera Award for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Record. She also picked up an Ivor Novello Award and a MOBO Award.

Deltron 3030

Hip-hop trio Deltron 3030 are producer Dan the Automator, rapper Del the Funky Homosapien and turntablist/ composer DJ Kid Koala. Hits such as “3030”, “Mastermind”, “Virus”, “Positive Contact” and “Time Keeps On Slipping”.

The concept of Deltron 3030 is set in the year 3030 and finds the mythical rap master Deltron locked in a battle with the corporate overlords.

Spectrum Center Information

Parking Information

Please keep in mind that downtown parking can be nightmarish, but there are many street parking options and lots within a few blocks of Spectrum Center. Likewise, there is plenty of street parking and lots throughout Charlotte to access Spectrum Center for evening events.
