Why Don't We [CANCELLED] at Spectrum Center

After a few hiccups with kickstarting their big tour comeback last April, ticket sales are back on track for The Good Times Only Tour! Why Don't We is set to meet their fans and deliver their signature heart-fluttering live performances of their best tracks. With their second studio record "The Good Times and the Bad Ones" released last January 2021, it's the band's best work yet. The album is mostly produced by the band members themselves, marking their growth and dedication as musicians the world came to love and will love even more.

“We were able to dive into every lyric and really explain everything to a ‘T,’ said Jonah Marais. “I think that sums up the growth right there. I think fans can feel that, and everyone’s excited.”

“This album is the first time that we’ve ever really told the story ourselves,” Corbyn Besson shared.

Emerging into the global stage with their hit single "8 Letters", Why Don't We traces its roots to LA when members Jack Avery, Corbyn Besson, Zach Herron, Jonah Marais, and Daniel Seavey met and formed the group. They released their debut EP "Only the Beginning" with their debut single "Taking You" in 2016. It was definitely only the beginning of the band's road to global success. With the release of their first full-length album "8 Letters" in 2018, Why Don't We started to amass greater attention with their singles "Trust Fund Baby", "Hooked", and "8 Letters".

From then on, Why Don't We kept winning hearts across the globe for their heart-fluttering lyrics and vocal performances. They kicked off 2019 with their single "Big Plans" and a slew of hits such as "I Don't Belong in This Club" feat. Macklemore and "What Am I" written by Ed Sheeran. 'Big plans were definitely in store as the boys took a nine-month break after their final single for the year with "Chills".

In September of 2020, the boys dropped their single "Fallin' (Adrenaline)", the lead single from their new album "The Good Times and the Bad Ones". It marked their first US Billboard Hot 100 entry. Before the big release of their new record, they featured in a YouTube documentary named "30 Days With" which gave fans a sneak peak of the band's behind-the-scenes work on their soon-to-be-released new album.

The album is mostly self-written and self-produced by the band themselves with some production help by the likes of Skrillex, Travis Baker, and Timbaland. The boys expressed that their past work wasn't really authentically theirs to its core, citing that they were mostly collaborative efforts with other songwriters, producers, and their label. This time, the band was able to come together and work on their own, with Corbyn saying “This album is the first time that we’ve ever really told the story ourselves,”

“This period of time for us in our careers is very much like, ‘Here’s who we are. Take it as it is and we hope you’re having a good time with us.’ Because we’re having a good time.” says Besson.

With The Good Times Only Tour alive and kicking, the band just recently released a new song "How Do You Love Somebody". “This song is filled with electric energy and even more electric guitars. It’s an anthem for all who have had a past lover that moved on too quickly, which all 5 of us can, unfortunately, relate to. We had so much fun making ‘How Do You Love Somebody’ and we hope you enjoy it as much we do!” the band shared.
